Technology....
There are many types of new technology but I'm going to talk about how computers have made our lives better and in some cases worse. Some ways it has made our lives better is it allows us to do research a lot faster and allows us to do a lot more things. Such as play more games, learn and take classes online, shop online, and e-mail friends and family a lot faster. Some ways it has made our lives worse is it has made people more lazy. Some people rely on the internet instead of trying to figure it out for themselves. People also just sit in front of the computer and play games.

Significance of Obama being elected
I think it is good that Obama was elected, maybe it will end the hatred towards blacks. Many people are mad that Obama was elected but I think he will improve our country. I don't agree with everything he is for but for the most part I am for the same things he is for. Obama worked hard to get were he is now and many people think people just voted for him because he is black. I don't think people would just vote for someone because they are black what would that do for our country if they don't agree with what he is working toward? I hope this changes peoples opinions about blacks instead of not even giving them a chance just because they are black. I think this will change the future. Obama will change many things in the U.S. that need to be changed.

Election
The election is really important in the U.S. because by the time the election rolls around everyone is sick of the old president. The election gives us a new president who wants to fix new problems with the countries. The U.S. needs new change and new ideas brought up to congress. The new president will have ideas of things that weren't fixed by the president before and he will have a basic idea of what the people want fixed and changed. That is why I think the election is so important.....

Foreign Oil Dependency
Foreign Oil dependency had become a big issue in the U.S. I hear about it not only on the internet but on the news. Now that the election is about here I hear more about it. I think the U.S. is relying on foreign oil exchange way to much. There are other ways for us to get energy and oil. It may be a little more expensive but in the end I think it will pay off. If we keep relying on foreign countries what are we going to do when they stop trading with us?
The NRDC says "America spends $200,000 per minute on foreign oil-$13 million per hour." http://www.nrdc.org/air/transportation/aoilpolicy2.asp. The U.S. is spending more and more money on oil each year. We are getting our oil from unstable countries. Why can't we starting finding other ways to stay away from oil and rely on something? I have heard a lot about going green. To me it sounds like a good way to save money and our environment. Also I think it would help us from rely so much on foreign countries for oil.
The NRDC also states that America uses 12 billion more barrels per year than it finds. If we keep going like this the U.S. is eventually going to be out of oil completely. Which in the end it will cause a huge depression because no one will know what to do. So if we start to fix the problem now starting little and then eventually not using oil at all we won't have to worry about running out of oil.
I understand that there are somethings that we have to use oil for but I'm sure there is some way to get around it. We can use the money that we shouldn't be spending on oil to find new things to replace oil. Going green not only helps us cut back on just oil but it helps out with the environment. I think there is a way to cut back on oil and I think the U.S. could do it if everyone is willing to put an effort in to it.

Switching Schools
When I first came to Payson I didn't know what to do. When I came to get my classes all figured out everyone just looked at me and called me "The New Kid". I figured that would happen, but I didn't know what to do. The next day when I came to school for my first day here I was so scared I didn't want to walk around by myself and look like a loser. During all my classes everyone was very welcoming which made my day go so much easier. Now I can't believe I didn't switch here sooner then what I did. Everyone including the teachers are very nice and make sure I doing ok with everything. The lunch here is also way better. At Western our classes were a hour and five minutes and it seemed like they took forever. Here they are only 45 minutes which is a lot better. The things I miss the most are not seeing my family and friends everyday. The only thing I can do is call them or drive home and see them, but then I have to drive back that night. I know I made the right decision about switching schools and I'm glad I switched. I have a lot of new friends and I'm sure I can still keep my other friends from Western....

Kyleah's Afternoon
Yesterday after school I drove to Barry to see my dad and sisters. I miss them so much. After I seen them I went to see my boyfriend and I plowed a field with him. I had a lot of fun but I was very tired by the time I got back to my house. I watched T.V. for a little while when I got home then I fell asleep around 8. That is what my afternoon consisted of.

Kyleah's Morning
As my alarm clock went off this morning I was thinking to myself "Why do I have to get up so early?". I finally made myself get out of bed and feed my rabbit and cat, then got in the shower. When I got out of the shower I started to do my hair and make up. I finally finished getting ready and my grandma was already calling me. I got all my stuff together and went to her house to eat breakfast with her. Finally I left for school, when I i got here there were people telling me to come over to there truck and talk to them. Then the bell rang and now I'm sitting here.
